adataA-DATA®, the worldwide leader in DRAM memory and Flash application products, introduced its USB 3.0-ready product solutions with ASUS®, a long-term strategic partner of A-DATA®, jointly at the technical seminar held by ASUS®. A live demo on its newly released N002, the combo drive with SATA II and USB 3.0 port embedded, and NH01, the USB 3.0 compliant portable hard disk drive, were also performed to demonstrate its recent achievement on USB 3.0 and overwhelm the participants with its super fast performance. The strong co-op partnership between A-DATA and ASUS, each possess its own special expertise in their own field, surely will expedite the transition to USB 3.0.

“ASUS’s commitment to grade-A product quality and enriching consumers’ digital life with function-rich products match perfectly with A-DATA’s” said Simon Chen, CEO and Chairman of A-DATA Technology, “We work closely with our supply chain, both upstream and downstream, to make sure our products meet customers’ expectation. And we fully understand our products must satisfy the crave for space and speed.”

Jerry Shen, CEO of ASUS, says “The anticipation for USB 3.0 continues to build as the file size grows larger and larger where transporting ports of USB 2.0 can no longer keep up with the need for speed. Yet, the adaptation of a new technology relies mainly on suppliers’ roadmap. Knowing that, ASUS® team up with tier-one suppliers such as A-DATA, the leader in memory products, to make sure we stay ahead of the game.”

Founded in May, 2001 by Chairman and CEO Mr. Simon Chen, A-DATA Technology Co., Ltd. has quickly risen to become one of the world’s largest memory and flash product providers. At the beginning, with DRAM modules as the major product line, A-DATA’s mission was to become “The Global Leading Brand of Memory Products.” Later on, recognizing the market’s trend, A-DATA diversified its product portfolio to include Flash peripherals and multimedia solutions. Capitalizing on the strong growth of DRAM memory and flash related products in the market, based on DRAMeXchange 2006 and iSuppli 2006 reports, A-DATA ranks second in the world for DRAM Modules and fourth for Flash Disks respectively.

Although A-DATA was started with twenty employees only several years ago, the founder, Mr. Simon Chen and the senior management team have extensive memory-related industry experience in manufacturing and global sales, as well as the passion and energy to instill extraordinary corporate values as the foundation of the company. These values consist of integrity, fairness, honesty, perseverance, ingenuity, harmony, love and innovation. All these factors help contribute to remarkable and consistent year-on-year revenue and profit growth, allowing A-DATA to achieve milestones such as the No. 1 DRAM Module Provider in Asia, a listing on Taiwan’s Over-the-Counter (OTC) stock exchange (3260), a number three ranking in Taiwan Technology’s Top 100, and a rank of fourteenth on Taiwan’s Top 20 Global Brands in 2006. These impressive results and corporate culture are now used as a benchmark for success in Taiwan’s high-tech industry.

Mr. Chen proudly points out that A-DATA has been profitable every year, even when the DRAM market cycle and pricing was fluctuating dramatically. Mr. Chen has led A-DATA on the right track and the company continues to hit historical highs for revenue. This strong growth allowed A-DATA to reach NT$26.2 billion (US$795 million) in revenue for 2004. In 2005, total sales revenue increased significantly to NT$32 billion (US$973 million). The revenue for 2006 is still increasing a lot compared to 2005. Looking to the future, as the second largest DRAM memory provider in the world and Taiwan’s fourteenth top global brand in 2006, A-DATA will instill the spirit of “Only Accept Number One” to continue to drive our brand and market growth.
